Joe Glassey may not have arrived in the Washington Nationals’ organization as a familiar name, but his performance made him worth watching. Acquired from Baltimore in a trade for Christian Franklin, the relief pitching prospect delivered a scoreless regular-season stretch at Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Rochester, emerging as a potential future bullpen option.
Glassey made 10 relief appearances for the Harrisburg Senators from Aug. 3 through Sept. 3. His performance earned him a promotion to Triple-A Rochester on Sept. 4.
