Press Conference with Paul and Blake

⚾ DUGOUT DISPATCH
Every good season begins with an introduction to what exactly it is you’re going to see on the field, a primer to get you ready for actual Spring Training games. This is exactly what happened when the Nationals gave their first press conference of Spring Training yesterday afternoon in West Palm Beach.
📊 THE BOX SCORE:
The press conference featured two fresh faces for the Nats: manager Blake Butera and president of baseball operations Paul Toboni
Leadership and team culture were discussed, with a focus on letting players step up and set the tone for the clubhouse organically
Discussion of the new ABS challenge system and having a sense of how to use it to best benefit the team in the coming season
🗣️ LOCKER ROOM LORE
The Nationals have planned a lot for being able to be a winning team in the future during the offseason, but there is still more to do in order to fully complete the rebuild and cement the Nationals’ place as a winning team. According to Paul Toboni himself, “I think we’ve done a lot of work to get where we want to go, but there’s still work to be done.”
