FREDERICKSBURG, VA - Washington Nationals 2025 second round selection Ethan Petry has been raking since beginning his professional career with the Fredericksburg Nationals.

On Saturday, a day after a two-hit night for the South Carolina slugger, he went 3-for-5 with his first professional homer in the first inning.

Petry caught one on the lower outside part of the plate and went with the pitch, launching one out to the SimVentions Scoreboard Deck, where he hit the manual scoreboard at Virginia Credit Union Stadium on one hop.

All three of Petry’s hits on Saturday went for extra bases, the latter two being doubles, including an RBI double in the bottom of the fifth inning.

So far, the outfielder/first baseman has made the most of his opportunity in Single-A, currently hitting .375/.464/.583 over his first six games, getting a hit in five of six games overall.

Of his nine hits, three of them have gone for extra bases, two doubles and one homer, as he’s driven in four runs so far. Not only does he have three extra-base hits, but he has three-straight multi-hit games heading into Fredericksburg’s second-straight home series against the Fayetteville Woodpeckers this week.
