🎙️ LOCKER ROOM LORE
“[We have] a ton of trust. He's definitely earned our trust in the staff, no matter what the rest of the year looks like for Foster. Every time he's out there, we seem to know what we're going to get. [He] just does a tremendous job of just pitching and navigating through lineups. He's facing really tough lineups, and just seems to do a better and better job each time,” manager Blake Butera said of Foster Griffin after yesterday’s performance.

On the Move
⚾ DUGOUT DISPATCH
Before yesterday’s game, pitcher Clayton Beeter was placed on the 15-day Injured List. Recalled in his stead from Triple-A were right-handers Andre Granillo and Paxton Schultz.
📊 THE BOX SCORE:
Yesterday, before the team took on the Chicago White Sox, the Nats placed right-handed pitcher Clayton Beeter on the 15-day Injured List with right forearm soreness, a move retroactive to last Thursday
Right-handed pitcher Andre Granillo was recalled from the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings in tandem with Beeter being placed on the IL
Granillo has pitched a collective five innings for Rochester since being sent back down, allowing 10 earned runs and nine hits across his five starts for the Red Wings
Also recalled before yesterday’s game was right-handed pitcher Paxton Schultz, who played in the game against the Chicago White Sox and recorded his first career save after striking out both Chase Meidroth and Miguel Vargas in the 10th inning
🗣️ LOCKER ROOM LORE
"It's just been cranky for a little bit now. I don't think it's something we're really concerned with at this point but wanted to get some imaging on it," said manager Blake Butera on Beeter’s injury.

⚾ DUGOUT DISPATCH
While most of the Nats’ minor league teams lost their series over the weekend, some managed to end it on a high note. Fredericksburg even managed to not only win their series but also shut out their opponent in the final game.
📊 THE BOX SCORE:
After their Saturday game was postponed due to rain, the Red Wings split yesterday’s doubleheader against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, losing the first game 6-1 but winning the second game 9-4
Harrisburg lost a close one yesterday against the Altoona Curve, 5-4, just barely dropping their series against the Curve three games to two
The Blue Rocks ended their series against the Frederick Keys on a high note, winning yesterday’s game 5-2, powered by a five-run fourth inning that included a Ronny Cruz two-run home run
Fredericksburg won their series against the Salem RidgeYaks four games to two, capping it off by shutting Salem out yesterday and winning 7-0
🗣️ LOCKER ROOM LORE
Fredericksburg’s shutout against the RidgeYaks is a show of the team coming together to get a win in every possible way. While there may not have been a true ace in the game, as none of the pitchers went more than three innings, all of the pitchers put up a strong performance. Collectively, the rotation allowed only three hits and seven walks while striking out six batters. Meanwhile, the bats hit both for power and small ball, with just two of the runs resulting from a home run while the rest came from two doubles, a single, and a walk. It’s wins like this that show that the FredNats have the ability to produce wins in every area of their game, even if one part struggles one night, the others are still there to help the team power through.
