With the holiday season kicking into high gear at the end of this week, the holiday times always bring families together and plenty of movie watching. With that, we thought that we would share with you some of our favorite baseball movies.

Plot: Billy Heywood, the 12-year-old son of widowed Jenny, is a Little League Baseball player. Billy's paternal grandfather, Thomas Heywood, owns the Minnesota Twins. When Thomas dies, Billy learns that he is now the owner of the Twins. Thomas' will specifies that the team executives help Billy until he is old enough to run the team by himself.
"We want a pitcher not an underwear snitcher!"
Plot – Henry is 12 and is not good at baseball, even if his father was a champion. When he plays to impress a girl, he breaks his arm and, once healed, he realizes to have acquired an incredible strength. Now he can become a celebrity, besides success has a high price and the boy can't manage too many activities, so he decides to return to his normal life.
"Baseball was life! And I was good at it... real good."
Plot – Scotty Smalls is a teenager who just enrolls at high school and has just moved to a new neighborhood with his mother and stepfather. He doesn't know his peers and he has big problems with the stepfather, but fortunately he has a passion: baseball. He follows the league, he knows all the players but, above all, he is a great player.
By approaching a group of schoolmates who are playing baseball, Scotty successfully fits in and becomes friend with Rodriguez, the sport idol of the area. The two become inseparable on the diamond and outside and together they will live incredible adventures related to sport.

That's my wish, Ray Kinsella. That's my wish. And is there enough magic out there in the moonlight to make this dream come true?"
Plot – Ray Kinsella owns a farm in Iowa, while his father was fond of baseball. One day Ray decides to build a baseball field to bring back to life a champion of the past. Everyone thinks he has gone crazy, but since that very day many players arrive at Kinsella's and Ray plays baseball with his father too.
Plot – Cleveland's baseball team of the "Indians", is about to begin a new season but, after the death of the owner, it is threatened by mortal danger. The widow Rachel Phelps wants the team to lose so the team can be transferred to Miami. For this reason, the "shortlist" entrusted to Coach Lou is composed of former players and young people with little experience. However, after a disastrous start, the "Indians" become aware of the woman's intentions and do all their best to win the championship.
Plot – In 1943, during World War II, women animate the American baseball championship. The film recalls the true story of the team "Peaches", from recruitment to training, from the matches to the personal problems of some players, from the coach - an ex-player who got his career cut off because of an accident and now has drinking habits - to the meeting of the "old glories". However, when the war ends and the male players come back from the front, the girls' business in the diamond loses solidity and, with it, also the beautiful dream.
Baseball is grown men getting paid to play a game. When you were a kid, I bet you didn't pick up a bat and ball because you were dying to work. A player's career is short enough. Let them enjoy it."
Plot – Jack Elliott is a baseball champion and he's transferred to a Japanese team, the Chuunichi Dragons. After the initial difficulties, Jack adapts himself thanks also to Aya Takahashi.

Plot – Ryan Dunn, a promising baseball player, leaves the college and comes back to Cape Cod to work with his father. During the summer, he trains with the local team under the guidance of a rude coach, John Schiffner. Ryan falls in love with Tenley Parrish, a girl on holiday, and his love is returned, but her rich family hinders their relationship because of their social differences.
