The Dodgers are expected to compete for Aaron Judge‘s services this offseason. Mark Feinsand of MLB.com suggests that if the Dodgers land the star outfielder, Mookie Betts could be moved to second base.

From the article: "According to sources, the Dodgers could become serious players in this offseason’s Aaron Judge sweepstakes, a move that would potentially result in a position change for Betts, a six-time All-Star outfielder."

As the article points out, the Dodgers have money coming off the payroll between Trea Turner, Joey Gallo, Craig Kimbrel, and, potentially, Justin Turner. That could free up money to bring in Judge without the team spending more than it did in 2022 when they won 111 games.

Betts told reporters back in early September that "Being able to play second base is kind of something I’ve been doing my whole life... Getting to go back there is just a lot of fun for me, personally. I really, really do enjoy it, but they pay me to catch these fly balls.”
