Washington D.C. - Today, the Washington Nationals open a five-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies. This series will mark the first matchup between the two National League East clubs this season. This five-game series — including Friday’s doubleheader — caps off a run of 31 games in 31 days for Washington that began on May 20 at Milwaukee. The Nationals enjoyed an off day in Miami on June 6 and will have days off on Monday and Thursday of next week.
