BALTIMORE (MD) - Following a day off on Monday, the Washington Nationals open a five-game, six-day road trip on Tuesday night against the Baltimore Orioles. After this two-game series, the Nationals will enjoy another day off on Thursday before facing off against the Texas Rangers in a three-game series this weekend.

The annual Beltway Series between the Nationals and Orioles will feature two games at Oriole Park this week and two games at Nationals Park, Sept. 13–14.

  • Since joining the Washington Nationals shortstop Luis Garica is hitting an impressive .360/.275/.507 with five doubles, two homers, 10 RBI, one walk, one hit by pitch, and nine runs scored. Additionally, Garica has hit safely in 15 of the 19 games and has reached base safely in 16 of 19 games.

  • RHP Jackson Tetreault earned his first Major League win by pitching 7 innings with three unearned runs on six hits, two walks, and two strikeouts.

  • Reliever Carl Edwards Jr. ranks among National League relievers in opponents' batting average (3rd, .130), hits per 9 innings (4th, 3.80), and WHIP (6th, 0.84). Edwards has pitched three innings of no-hit, shutout relief across his last three appearances. He has five strikeouts and one walk.
