Washington D.C. - Tonight, the Washington Nationals play game two of three against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Washington Nationals won Monday night's game 3-2 on the back of a go-ahead home run by third baseman Maikel Franco. “He’s that guy,” manager Dave Martinez said following the Nationals’ 3-2 win over the Pirates on Monday. “He’s that guy that brings a lot of energy every day. It was electric in there.”

Franco hit a 418-foot homer to left-center to drive in SS Luis García to give the Nationals a curly W for a series opener victory. The third baseman’s seventh dinger of the season was part of his 2-for-4 evening.
