After starting the 2nd half 9-1 and winning a season-best eight straight games, the FredNats return to action at home tonight against the Lynchburg Hillcats after yesterday’s off day. The Fredericksburg Nationals is a perfect 7-0 on this two-week homestand and have improved to 23-14 overall at Virginia Credit Union Stadium this year, including 6-2 against Lynchburg.

Tonight, RHP Bryan Caceres opposes RHP Trenton Denholm, who will make his 4th start of the season against the Fredericksburg Nationals, posting an 0-1 record with an ERA of 4.50. Caceres has done very well against the Hillcats in three starts, pitching 16.1 innings against Lynchburg with an ERA of 2.76. He has yet to record a decision against the Hillcats.

The Fredericksburg Nationals scored four times in the 1st inning on the 4th of July and led wire-to-wire to win 6-2 despite Lynchburg out-hitting the FredNats 10-4.
