After dropping two games to the Salem Red Sox yesterday, the Fredericksburg Nationals will try to get back on track today, with RHP Jose Atencio making his Fredericksburg Nationals debut after being called up from the Florida Complex League last week. Salem outscored the Fredericksburg Nationals 15-6 yesterday and hit four home runs in the two games.

Atencio had a great year in the Florida Complex League before his callup, going 4-0 with a 2.70 ERA in six appearances and four starts. The Fredericksburg Nationals continue to lead the Carolina League North Division by 3.5 games heading into play today.

Down East is in 2nd place after their win last night, and Salem gained two games on the Fredericksburg Nationals yesterday with a sweep to move to 4.0 games back.

ROSTER REPORT: Before the Augusta series, OF Jeremy De La Rosa and LHP Dustin Saenz were promoted to High-A Wilmington. Since then, LHP Andrew Alvarez has also been promoted, along with RHP Todd Peterson and INF Leandro Emiliani, which became official today.

Joining the Fredericksburg Nationals from the Florida Complex League last week was LHP Pablo Aldonis, RHP Miguel Gomez, and OF Christopher De La Cruz. Today, RHP Juan Atencio, INF Paul Witt, and INF Will Frizzell were promoted from Florida, and RHP Michael Kirian is down from Wilmington.
