The Rochester Red Wings picked up their second consecutive win in Lehigh Valley last night, defeating the IronPigs 11-2. RHP Cory Abbott got the start, going 4.1 innings while allowing two runs in just one hit.

Six of the Red Wings' 11 runs came via the long ball with C Taylor Gushue, RF Nick Banks, LF Josh Palacios, and SS Ildemaro Vargas all tallying one of their own. The Rochester Red Wing bullpen did not allow a single run across five relievers in 4.2 innings of work, scattering just three hits.

Today, RHP Anibal Sanchez will make his third rehab start with Rochester as the Wings will look to pick up their third-straight win in Coca-Cola Park for the first time since June 11, 2021.

The Rochester Red Wings are set to face LHP Ricardo Sanchez in game four of the series tonight. This season, the Rochester Red Wings possess a record of 15-10 when a lefty starts against Rochester, compared to a record of 28-28 when a righty toes the rubber to begin a ballgame. Against southpaws, the Rochester Red Wings lead the International League in batting average (.293, 204-for-697), and rank second in both on-base percentage (.359) and slugging (.469.

The Rochester Red Wings are averaging 5.8 runs per game when facing a lefty starter compared to just 4.4 runs per game when squaring off against right-handed starters.
