The Senators fell to the Bowie Baysox 9-4 in game one of their six-game series Tuesday night. Bowie took a 4-0 lead into the bottom of the third inning before the Senators rallied to tie the game 4-4 on a pair of two-run home runs. Rudy Martin hit a two-run shot in the third, and Omar Meregildo tied the game with his two-run home run in the seventh.

Alex Troop started for Harrisburg and pitched six innings allowing three earned runs for a quality start. He retired the final seven batters he faced. He struck out seven and didn’t walk a batter. Brian Gonzalez pitched a scoreless seventh inning. Reid Schaller and Danny Dopico pitched the final two innings allowing five earned runs on seven hits.

Darren Baker had two hits and walked. Andrew Young doubled, singled, and walked. Meregildo had a single to go with his home run and scored twice.

Harrisburg committed three errors in the game. They hit into five double plays, including one in each of the first four innings. They’ve hit 14 home runs in their past seven games with their two home runs.
