Baseball will be fun to watch if you are a Washington Nationals fan. [more on that to come in the coming days..] In the coming month, we will see many prospects and rookies coming through the Nationals' farm system to play in the major leagues.

According to Talk Nats [tweet link], it looks like another prospect is set to be called up for the Washington Nationals. Talk Nats is reporting that "the Nationals are set to call up their top catching prospect, Israel Pineda, today as well as reliever Jordan Weems. For Pineda, he's moved from High-A to Triple-A in 2022 and jumped up the prospect charts. For Weems, this will be his 3rd stint."

Pineda might be called up because it looks like catcher Keibert Ruiz got hit in the groin area yesterday afternoon when the Nationals faced the St. Louis Cardinals. Ruiz initially remained in the game and went 1-for-3 at the plate, but he eventually departed the contest in the sixth inning
