In Dave Martinez's pre-game press conference it has been reported by Andrew Golden of the Washington Post that "the team plans to skip Patrick Corbin’s next start in the rotation (off day Thursday) so he can work with Jim Hickey on some things in bullpen sessions. Also said Corbin will make his next start in the rotation the following Tuesday."

LHP Patrick Corbin has a 4-16 record with a 7.02 ERA. Corbin has struggled since the 2019 season.
