We can file this into the serious note category all kidding aside. According to an interview with SNY at New York Mets training camp, 2021 Homerun Durby winner 1B Pete Alonso told reporters on Monday that he got into a "brutal car accident" on Sunday in which his car flipped over three times.
"Thankful to be alive," the slugger said at spring training in Port St. Lucie.
