While we wait for things to finish shaking out, it looks like there are some imminent benefits for the Washington Nationals, farm system which has been one of the worst in Major League Baseball.

According to Fan Graphs, with the trade, Washington moves from 24th to 8th in the live farm system rankings. If you were to include recently-graduated MacKenzie Gore in the calculus, they'd move to 5th.

Not a bad jump.
