Rochester, NY- The Rochester Red Wings finished their series against the Leigh Valley IronPigs with a 4-1 win this afternoon at Innovative Field in Rochester.
The Rochester Red Wings now have a 16-11, 54-46 record, and 30-19 record at home.
RHP Brad Lord got the start for the Red Wings. He pitched 5.0 innings, giving up one run on three hits and striking out five. Lord has an ERA of 3.82 since being called to the Red Wings on June 20, 2024. Today's game was the 15th time in Lord's last 16 outings. The righty has gone 5.0 plus innings, holding a 2.05 (24 ER/105.1 IP), which leads all qualified Nationals Minor Leaguers on the season.

RHP Orlando Ribalta pitched one inning in relief and struck out one, earning the Red Wings' win. RHP Rico Garcia, who retired the side in the bottom of the ninth, got his 16th save of the season. Garcia is the first Red Wing to have 16 saves in a season since Jordan Weems had 16 with the Red Wings in 2022.
On the offensive side, Travis Blankenhorn hit his 24th home run this season in the bottom of the 7th inning off LHP Taylor Lehman. Blankenhorn's home run extended his extra-base hit streak to eight games, the longest in the International League this season.
Joey Meneses also hit a home run this afternoon for the Red Wings, his second since being optioned to Rochester on July 5th. Menses finished the day 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.
