HARRISBURG, PA - Tonight in Harrisburg, a decisive four-run outburst in the second inning proved to be all the Harrisburg Senators needed as they secured a 4-1 win over the Altoona Curve at FNB Field. Timely hitting and a dominant bullpen effort paved the way for Harrisburg’s triumph.

Maxwell Romero Jr. ignited the Senators’ offense with a two-run double, followed by an RBI triple from Viandel Pena that extended the lead. Paul Witt contributed with a double and crossed the plate, while Romero Jr. finished with three hits and Joe Naranjo added two more, fueling Harrisburg’s eight-hit performance.

On the pitching side, the Senators’ bullpen took control after starter Travis Sykora exited after the opening inning. Dustin Saenz (4-6) picked up the win with three scoreless innings, and Daison Acosta closed the door, retiring all six batters he faced—including three by strikeout—to earn his second save.

Altoona’s only offense came from an Omar Alfonzo solo home run in the seventh, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.
