House Call …

Well, what a weekend. At the Washington Nationals post-game press conference on Saturday afternoon, Dave Martinez made a big bo-bo when he said what has already been widely reported, that “It’s not on [the] coaches. It’s never on coaching. It’s always been on the players. The coaches work their asses off.” We will not rehash this, as at this point, we all know what needs to be done during the off-season, and it’s not worth talking about anymore. Now onto the big news…

On Sunday, the Nationals lost their eighth game in a row and their second consecutive series, getting swept by the Miami Marlins. After the game, we reported that Brady House would be called up to the majors. Phew, what a weekend! I was supposed to be taking some time off and enjoying a family vacation!

On a personal note, it is exciting to see Brady House make it to the major leagues, as I have been following him from the beginning of his Nationals career when he just started in Fredericksburg. I was in Fredericksburg when House appeared with Stephen Strasburg for one of Strasburg’s last pitching appearances. How time flies.

Do you agree with the Nationals calling up Brady House?
