In MLB news, on Friday, the Miami Marlins made history by hiring Ng, who will be the first woman and also the second person of Asian descent to lead an MLB team.
Ng, who turns 52 on Tuesday, has an extensive background as an executive. She has more than 30 years of experience in Major League Baseball, including 21 years in the White Sox's front offices from 1990 to 1996, the New York Yankees from 1998 to 2001, and, more recently, the LA Dodgers from 2002 to 2011.
