Leading today’s Morning Briefing: Nats release spring schedule

Yesterday the Nationals dropped their Spring Training Schedule. Their first game is February 24 against the Houston Astros, the team they share their complex with.

Nats take late win over Colorado Rockies

The Nationals won 6-5 last night. The Nats fell behind early in the second. They attempted to come back, scoring a run in the bottom of the second, but the Rockies answered with two more runs in the third. No more runs scored until the bottom of the seventh, when Stone Garrett hit a solo shot. In the bottom of the eighth, the Nats rallied, scoring four runs, three coming from a Joey Meneses go-ahead home run.

Meneses went 3-4 with an additional double. Stone Garrett went 2-3 with a walk. Riley Adams went 2-4 with a double. Kyle Finnegan earned the save.

The Nats Report Player of the Game is Joey Meneses. Tonight the Nationals take on the Colorado Rockies at 12:05 p.m. on MASN.
