⚾️⚾️ The Morning Briefing: Nationals drop game one to the Rockies

Good Morning Washington Nationals Fan,

Here are the latest headlines and analyses around the Washington Nationals and Major League Baseball for today, July 25th. My name is Haden Raymer and this is your morning briefing. Last night the Nationals lost to the Colorado Rockies, so let’s talk about it.

Leading today’s Morning Briefing: Nats lose to Rockies 10-6

The Nationals dropped game one of the series to the Colorado Rockies last night. The Nats fell behind in the fourth and never caught back up. Patrick Corbin threw 6.1 innings, allowing six runs while striking out five batters. One of the runs was unearned. Rico Garcia had a rough second outing with the team, allowing two earned runs on three hits and a walk. Cory Abbott allowed the two more runs over the final 1.2 innings.

The Nationals offense tried their best to stay in the game. Jeimer Candelario went 2-4 with a double and a home run. Keibert Ruiz also had two hits. CJ Abrams and Alex Call both doubled.

The Nats Report Player of the Game is Jeimer Candelario. Tonight the Nationals take on the Colorado Rockies at 7:05 p.m. on MASN.
