Leading this Morning's Briefing:  Washington Nationals travel up I-95 to face the Baltimore Orioles for a two-game series.

The Washington Nationals had a tough homestand, losing three of their eleven games. On the bright side, the Zimmerman retirement ceremony was amazing. Congratulations Mr. National, we hope retirement treats you well. On to the two-game set against the AL East rival, Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles are currently 30-38 in the loaded AL East. The lineup is structured around an underrated group of Cedric Mullins, Anthony Santander, Austin Hays, and Ryan Mountcastle. The pitching staff is missing their ace in John Means, who is currently recovering from Tommy John. Click here to see the pitching matchups for the series.

Washington Nationals release Independence Day 2022 on-the-field hats. July 4th is quickly approaching and it's time for teams around Major League Baseball to release their on-field caps for the weekend. As always, the Washington Nationals will host an early morning game on Monday, July 4th against the Miami Marlins, and here is a sneak peek of what the Nationals player's hats will be wearing.
