Triple-A Rochester Red Wings

Daily Report From Rochester:
ROCHESTER, NY — The Rochester Red Wings brought power pitching and hitting to the ballpark on James Wood bobble head night, launching two of their seven hits for home runs, in a 5-1 win over the “dreaded” first-place Syracuse Mets.
Andrew Pinckney ignited the offense in the second inning, launching a 2-1 sweeper into the right-field deck to give Rochester an early 1-0 lead. Syracuse answered in the fourth when Jared Young crushed a 416-foot home run to dead center off a 92 mph fastball from starter Bryce Conley, tying the game at one apiece.
But the tie didn’t last long. In the bottom of the fourth, Andrés Chaparro responded with a no-doubt blast to left field, his 14th homer of the season, to put the Red Wings back in front, 2-1.
Rochester tacked on insurance in the sixth. With two outs and the bases loaded, Pinckney came through again—this time with an infield single that plated Nasim Nuñez. Though Trey Lipscomb popped out to end the inning, the Wings weren’t finished.
In the seventh, Nuñez added to the lead with an RBI single, scoring J.T. Arruda, who had advanced to second on a wild pitch and then stole third.
The final blow came in the ninth, when Nick Schnell was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning and quickly scored on a rocket double off the bat of Chaparro, capping a well-rounded offensive night for the Wings.
On the mound, the Red Wings staff was dominant. Bryce Conley went 5.2 innings, allowing just one run on two hits and two walks, while striking out five. Rochester’s bullpen slammed the door from there, combining for 3.1 scoreless innings, surrendering only three hits. Ryan Lotus handled the ninth with authority, striking out three and allowing just one hit to seal the win.
Before the game, the Red Wings honored former outfielder Jason Kubel, inducting him into the Rochester Red Wings Hall of Fame. Kubel, who played for the team in 2004, 2006, and 2011, joins an elite group that includes Don Baylor, Cal Ripken Jr., and Justin Morneau.
The two teams will square off again on Saturday night, with a Dylan Crews replica jersey giveaway for the first 1,000 fans through the gates. Kyle Luckham will make his second start for Rochester, while Jonah Tong, New York Mets’ top pitching prospect, is set to make his Triple-A debut. First pitch is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. EDT.

Daily Report From Harrisburg:
HARTFORD, CT — The Harrisburg Senators powered their way back to the .500 mark Thursday night, defeating the Hartford Yard Goats 8–6 in a high-scoring, back-and-forth contest at Dunkin’ Park.
After giving up a 2–0 lead, Harrisburg erupted for five runs in the fifth inning, turning a one-run deficit into a 7–3 advantage with RBI hits from Kevin Made, Branden Boissiere, Carlos De La Cruz, Sam Brown, and Joe Naranjo.
Hartford responded immediately in the bottom half, closing the gap to 7–6 on a three-run homer by Cole Carrigg, but the Senators' bullpen held strong down the stretch. De La Cruz gave Harrisburg breathing room in the ninth with a solo home run, his 11th of the season, and Daison Acosta shut the door with a scoreless ninth to earn his fourth save.
Jackson Kent (1–0) picked up the win in his Senators debut despite allowing six runs over five innings. The Harrisburg bullpen trio of Hyun-il Choi, Dustin Saenz, and Acosta combined for four scoreless innings, retiring all 12 batters they faced.
Game six of the series is set for Saturday at 6:15 p.m. EDT. Left-hander Alex Clemmey will make his much-anticipated Double-A debut for Harrisburg. Hartford will send Michael Prosecky to the hill.

Single-A Fredericksburg Nationals

Daily Report From Fredericksburg:
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Dramatically, the Fredericksburg Nationals, playing as the Fredericksburg Frogs for the first time, secured a 5-4 walk-off win over the Salem Red Sox Friday night at Virginia Credit Union Stadium. The victory was earned on a balk in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Down 4-3 entering the ninth, the Frogs staged a comeback sparked entirely by three players making their first home appearance after being drafted in the 2025 MLB Draft. Ethan Petry led off with a single, followed by a Wyatt Henseler base hit. With runners on first and third after Nick Hollifield dropped a single into center, Cristhian Vaquero (pinch running) scored the tying run. Then, with Rafael Ramirez Jr. on third, Salem pitcher Eybersson Polanco balked, allowing Ramirez to score the winning run without a pitch being thrown to Luke Dickerson.
The comeback overshadowed a stellar start from Brayan Romero, who tossed six scoreless innings with five strikeouts, marking his second outing of at least six innings in his last ten starts. Offensively, Hollifield recorded two game-tying RBIs, while Elijah Green added a multi-hit performance.
The Fred-Nats now aim to clinch the series on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. EDT, with Liam Sullivan set to take the mound against 18-year-old Jesus Travieso.
