ROCHESTER, NY — On a chilly Wednesday night at Innovative Field, the Rochester White Hots dropped game two of their six-game series to the Toledo Mud Hens, 7-4.

Morales opened the scoring with a solo shot in the first, and an RBI double from Trey Lipscomb in the fourth followed by a heads-up baserunning play from Nasim Nuñez in the fifth gave Rochester a 3-0 lead.

Alvarez was solid, allowing just two hits and three earned runs. Eduardo Salazar, Julian Fernández, Mason Thompson, and Erick Mejia covered the rest of the game, with Mejia striking out the side in the ninth.
The Red Wings continue their series Thursday at 1:05 PM with Bryce Conley set to face Toledo’s Troy Watson.

Daily Report From Wilmington:
WINSTON-SALEM, NC — he Wilmington Blue Rocks saw a tight contest slip away late Wednesday night, falling 6–3 to the Winston-Salem Dash at Truist Stadium after a series of costly errors in the bottom of the eighth.
Wilmington battled back from an early 2–0 deficit, tying the game in the sixth on a solo home run from T.J. White, his sixth of the season, after Juan Yepez had cut the Dash lead to one with a sacrifice fly in the fifth. The Blue Rocks then took a 3–2 lead in the top of the eighth when Caleb Lomavita scored on a throwing error by Dash pitcher Aldrin Batista during a pickoff attempt.
But that lead evaporated quickly in the home half of the inning. With the bases loaded, Kyle Lodise singled home the tying run, and moments later, two more came across on a fielder’s choice and throwing error by pitcher Euri Montero, giving Winston-Salem a 5–3 lead. The Dash added one more on a forceout to stretch the advantage to 6–3.
Starter Josh Randall delivered a solid outing for Wilmington, allowing two runs (one earned) across five innings with five strikeouts. T.J. White, Marcus Brown, and Juan Yepez provided the offense, but the Blue Rocks couldn’t recover after surrendering four runs in the bottom of the eighth, only one of which was earned.
Wilmington will look to rebound in the third game of the series Thursday, with the first pitch set for 7:00 p.m. EDT. Eriq Swan will get the start for Wilmington.
