Daily Report From Rochester:
ROCHESTER, NY — Despite a career-best Triple-A performance from right-hander Riley Cornelio, the Rochester Red Wings came up just short Friday night, falling 4-3 to the Buffalo Bisons at Innovative Field.
Cornelio delivered a quality start, striking out eight over six innings while allowing just one run on one hit.
Rochester carried a 3-1 lead into the seventh inning, but Buffalo capitalized on a costly fielding error to mount a comeback. After Leo Jiménez singled and another runner reached on an error, Michael Stefanic drove in a run with an RBI single. A second defensive miscue two batters later gave the Bisons a 4-3 lead, their first of the game.
The Red Wings went down in order in the ninth, dropping the fourth game of the series.
Francisco Mejía opened the scoring with a solo home run in the third inning — his sixth of the year and Rochester regained the lead in the sixth on a two-run error following a groundout by Nick Schnell. Phillip Glasser paced the offense with two hits, the team’s only multi-hit performance.
In relief, Seth Shuman allowed three unearned runs in the seventh, while Daison Acosta, Erick Mejia, and Eduardo Salazar each tossed scoreless frames to keep the game within reach.
The Red Wings will look to bounce back Saturday night when Bryce Conley takes the hill against Buffalo’s Adam Kloffenstein. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. EDT.

Daily Report From Harrisburg:
HARRISBURG, PA — Powered by a 14-hit performance, the Akron RubberDucks defeated the Harrisburg Senators 6-2 Friday night at FNB Field.
Alfonsin Rosario led Akron's offensive outburst, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, two RBIs, and a stolen base. Angel Genao chipped in three hits, while Ralphy Velazquez drove in two runs with a pair of doubles.
The Senators briefly tied the game 1-1 in the third inning on Seaver King’s RBI triple, but Akron answered with runs in the fifth, seventh, eighth, and ninth to gradually pull away. Caleb Lomavita added a late highlight for Harrisburg with a solo home run in the ninth, his second with the team.
Jackson Kent took the loss for the Senators, despite striking out seven over five innings. Harrisburg struggled to capitalize on opportunities, leaving eight runners on base and finishing 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position.
Harrisburg will look to rebound Saturday, when the rehabbing Josiah Gray takes the mound against Akron’s Dylan DeLucia. First pitch is slated for 6:00 p.m. EDT.
