Daily Report From Rochester:
MEMPHIS, TN — The Rochester Red Wings dropped a tough one Thursday night, falling 6-5 to the Memphis Redbirds in walk-off fashion in game three of their six-game series.
Despite a strong offensive showing from Nick Schnell, who homered and doubled, the Wings couldn’t complete the comeback.
Tied 5-5 in the bottom of the ninth, Memphis’ Mike Antico led off with a single, and Bryan Torres followed with a walk. Two batters later, Brody Moore laced a walk-off double down the left field line to give the Redbirds the win.
Schnell finished 2-for-4 with a 442-foot solo home run in the sixth inning and a double earlier in the second. Trey Lipscomb and Christian Franklin also chipped in RBI doubles as Rochester battled back from a 5-0 deficit.
Memphis jumped out to a big early lead with five runs in the second inning, including a three-run homer by Torres. Rochester responded with a pair of runs in the third and chipped away further with a run in the fifth and two more in the sixth to tie it.
Starter Kyle Luckham allowed five runs over five innings for Rochester. The bullpen held strong until the ninth, when Zach Brzykcy, after a clean eighth, surrendered the game-winner.
Rochester will look to even the series Friday night, with Riley Cornelio on the mound against Memphis lefty Quinn Mathews. First pitch is scheduled for 8:05 p.m. EDT.

Daily Report From Harrisburg:
BOWIE, MD — The Harrisburg Senators dropped their second straight heartbreaker Thursday night, falling 1-0 to the Chesapeake Baysox on a late solo home run, the only hit of the game for either team.
Baysox outfielder Douglas Hodo III broke up a combined no-hitter with two outs in the eighth inning, launching a solo shot off Senators reliever Austin Amaral to deliver the game’s only run. The Senators managed just one hit themselves — a single by Branden Boissiere in the fourth — and were shut out for the second consecutive game.
Harrisburg starter Erik Tolman was sharp, tossing five scoreless innings with one hit and five strikeouts. Chance Huff followed with two perfect frames before Amaral surrendered the game-winning homer.
On the mound for Chesapeake, Nestor German led a dominant pitching effort, while Ryan Long handled the eighth and Alex Pham secured his first save with a scoreless ninth.
The Senators will look to bounce back on Friday, when they send Hyun-il Choi to the mound against Luis De León. First pitch is at 6:35 p.m. EDT.

Daily Report From Fredericksburg:
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — The Fredericksburg Nationals moved within one win of clinching a spot in the 2025 Carolina League Playoffs after splitting a doubleheader with the Carolina Mudcats on Thursday.
After dropping game one 5-1 behind a rough start from Luke Johnson, the Fred-Nats bounced back in game two with a 7-3 victory, powered by Ethan Petry’s four-RBI performance and a towering home run from Jorgelys Mota. Merrick Baldo closed out the win, lowering the Fred-Nats’ magic number to one with three games remaining.
Game One:
In the opener, Carolina’s Eric Bitonti launched his league-leading 19th homer and drove in his 77th RBI, helping the Mudcats jump out to an early 5-0 lead. Fredericksburg managed just one run in the final inning off Joshua Quezada.
Game two:
The FredNats were designated as the road team but started strong. Petry delivered a two-RBI single in the first and later crushed a two-run homer, his second career long ball, to retake the lead in the fourth. Mota’s 424-foot blast in the seventh sealed the win.
The Fred-Nats will send starter Bryan Polanco to the mound Friday at 7:05 p.m. EDT, with a playoff berth within reach.
