While it has not been officially updated on MiLB, it is expected that Riley Maddox will make his AA and Harrisburg Senators debut on Friday night against the Flying Squirrels. Maddox was recently promoted by the Nationals this week from A+ Wilmington.

Maddox, out of Ole Miss, was the Washington Nationals 8th Round (231st overall) pick in the 2025 MLB Draft.

In 15 games this year, 14 of which he started, Riley is 4-5 with a 4.14 ERA. In A+ Wilmington, Riley pitched 74 innings allowing 37R, 64H, 29BB and striking out 72. His WHIP was 1.23. His opponents hit .233 against him.

Some of the numbers may not wow you but Maddox has pitched well in Wilmington, especially in the month of June. He is a live arm, a much needed starter and a huge addition to a Senators pitching staff who was in desperate need of one.

Welcome to Harrisburg, Riley!

This is why you need to support us today to help us deliver the best and most up-to-date Washington Nationals news before anyone else!
