Starting Pitching

Injuries derailed the rotation early, but Cavalli impressed upon return, Gore looked like a borderline ace, and Brad Lord emerged as a breakout arm.

2026 Outlook: If Gore is dealt, the rotation should feature Gray, Cavalli, and Lord. Adding free agents like Zach Eflin (ground ball command) or Sean Newcomb (converted reliever with upside) makes sense to round it out.

2026 Roster Projection: Josiah Gray, Cade Cavalli, Brad Lord, Zach Eflin, Sean Newcomb

Currently on the 40-Man: Jose A. Ferrer, Cole Henry, Clayton Beeter, Jackson Rutledge, others

2026 Outlook: The bullpen was the biggest weakness of 2025. Free-agent signings busted, prospects disappointed, and trades stripped away depth. Ferrer, however, has shown closer-caliber stuff, and Henry finally broke through with some quality innings.

2026 Roster Projection: Investing in proven relievers will be crucial. Raisel Iglesias could provide late-inning stability, while Hoby Milner offers lefty depth. Jakob Junis would be a strong multi-inning weapon.
