Prior to the 2025 season, Jarlin Susana was firmly regarded as one of baseball’s top 100 prospects. After inconsistent results following his arrival to the Nationals organization in the Juan Soto trade, Susana’s breakout 2024 campaign validated his elite potential. Despite a deceptively high ERA, his underlying metrics told a different story—a 2.35 FIP, an exceptional 35.4% strikeout rate, and a workable 10.8% walk rate. His performance positioned him to begin the year in the upper minors and drew considerable attention. This season, however, has been defined by a marked split in performance.
Pitch Arsenal
Susana’s profile rests on an electric fastball that sits consistently at 100 mph, touching 103 mph at times.
