Spring Training Notebook: February 16, 2026

WEST PALM BEACH, FL - It only took 141 days (not that anybody is counting), but baseball is finally back! Monday marked the first day of full squad workouts for the Washington Nationals, and the team officially opened its spring with a morning of drills on the back fields at the CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches. The day opened with the first whole-squad meeting before everybody broke out based on positions. The small groups rotated through basic baserunning, hitting, and fielding drills before a few players took live at-bats.
