Spring Training Notebook: February 16, 2026

WEST PALM BEACH, FL - The Washington Nationals continued full-squad workouts on Tuesday ahead of their Spring Training opener this Saturday against the Astros. Today’s practice started to move away from any remaining introductory work, and focused more on game-speed situations. Not only were there more live at-bats, but the team also relied much more on pitching machines for both fielding and hitting, allowing players to experience the split-second reaction time that can make or break plays in a game.
