Spring Training Notebook: February 16, 2026
WEST PALM BEACH, FL - The Washington Nationals have officially reached the halfway point of their first full-squad workout week. With Wednesday now in the books, only two days of training remain before Jake Eder and Shinnosuke Ogasawara take the mound in their respective split-squad games. While many believe the team isn’t ready, and that they still need some help, the performance they’ve put on this week, and especially today, could suggest otherwise. The Nationals are working super hard to get everybody ready, and in many areas, they could be getting there ahead of schedule.
