The Washington Nationals will kick off a four game series tonight against the Miami Marlins in Miami with right-handed pitcher Cade Cavalli (2-1, 4.85 ERA) to taking the mound while the Nationals will face RHP Janson Junk (6-2, 4.09 ERA).

Washington entered the ninth inning down 3-1 but erupted for five runs, highlighted by a solo shot from Robert Hassell III, a pinch-hit three-run homer off the bat of Josh Bell, and a sacrifice fly from Brady House. The bullpen did its part as well, holding the line with 4.1 innings of one-run ball, scattering five hits while striking out six and walking just one to close out the win.

Tomorrow night, the Washington Nationals will play game two of four against the Miami Marlins with the first pitch scheduled to be at 6:40 p.m. EDT. The Nationals are scheduled to send left-handed pitcher Mitchell Parker who has a 7-15 record and an ERA of 5.87 to the mound and will face right handed pitcher Adam Mazur who has a 0-2 record and a ERA of 5.74. Parker is set to make his fourth start against the Marlins this season. Parker last faced the Marlins on September 3rd at Nationals Park where he pitched 4.2 innings giving up four runs, two earned runs, striking out four.

On Wednesday night the Nationals will play game three of four against the Miami Marlins with the first pitch scheduled to be at 6:40 p.m. EDT. Right-handed pitcher Jake Irvin is scheduled to make the start for the Nationals while the Marlins have yet to name their starter for game three.
