Last night, the Washington Nationals blanked the Seattle Mariners 9-0 thanks to an impressive pitching performance and his best start to date for the season from Trevor Williams.

Williams took the mound for the Nats, looking to put his early-season struggles behind him on this West Coast trip. He did that, going 6.0 innings while allowing just three hits and no walks. While he only struck out two hitters, he trusted the defense to work behind him, leading to a quality start and a win for the veteran right-hander as he lowered his ERA to 5.69.
