The Senators and Sea Dogs play Game 3 of 6 tonight. The Senators come into this evening with an 2-0 series lead after yesterday's 9th inning comeback.

Alex Clemmey is scheduled to get the ball for the Sens. Clemmey pitched very well in last week’s outing against Reading. He’s been fantastic for the better part of the last month. The Sens need Clemmey to continue to pitch at a high level to have a successful second half.

Portland will counter with Dalton Rogers. Rogers has lost 2 of his last 4 starts and has struggled this season. Dalton has not pitched more than 5 innings in any of his appearances this season.

Senators slugger Branden Boissiere is 4-9 (.444) with 3 runs scored and 5 RBIs through the first two games of the series. Two of those RBIs were instrumental in yesterday afternoon's 5 runs scored 9th inning rally.

LAST GAME RECAP

A lot had to go right for the Senators down 2 runs heading into the 9th after blowing Issac Lyon’s 3 run lead in the 6th inning. Everything did.

Portland got the scoring started in the bottom of the 2nd inning and Lyon responded. He went onto to throw 5 innings allowing only that 1 run on 6 hits, walking 3 and striking out 8. It was another solid performance for the righty.

The Sens got things rolling with 2 runs in the 4th and 2 in the 5th to take a 4-1 lead. The big blast come on a monster blast from Branden Boissiere in the 5th but that wouldn’t be all we’d see from Boissiere.

Down to his last strike Boissiere blooped a 0-2 pitch to CF to score 2 with the Sens down 6-4 in the Top of the 9th to tie the game. Ethan Petry would hit a 2 run monster blast a few batters later to a very similar spot as Boissiere’s to put the Sens up 9-6. The Sens would shut the door in the 9th and go onto defeat Portland 9-6 to take a 2 games to none lead in the series

The Senators and Sea Dogs play Game 4 of their 6 game set Friday night in Portland. Senators RHP Josh Randall will get the ball. Randall looks to rebound after a few tough starts in a row. He’ll be looking to get back into form from early in his AA tenure. Portland will counter with Anthony Eyanson. Eyanson is the Boston Red Sox # 2 overall prospect and top 50 prospect in baseball. The 21 year old has been outstanding in his young AA tenure. First pitch is scheduled for 6 o'clock.
