The Senators were in action this past week for their final series of the 2026 season! I will break the fourth wall here for a second and just say thanks to all the readers who have been following along this year, I will be back next Spring and Go Senators as always!

The Harrisburg Senators finished off their season in a shortened 4-game series against New Hampshire with 2 games being canceled due to rain. Ironically, they finished the season with a record of 67-67 at exactly .500 and third in their division. Very much a true tell at their season which was very up and down and right down the middle in fact. Despite Sunday’s finale being rained out, they ended the year on the right note with a win on Saturday. Let’s get into how things finished up.

Game 1 — New Hampshire Fisher Cats — Blue Jays affiliate (September 8) — Senators 11-1

Harrisburg exploded for 11 runs on 15 hits, including four home runs, to dominate New Hampshire 11-1 and secure a commanding win. The offense was firing on all cylinders, with Bazzell and Mitchell each homering for the first time in Double-A, and Bazzell going 4-for-5 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Randall delivered his best start of the season, pitching six scoreless innings with four strikeouts. The team’s power display pushed their season total to 143 homers, tying the franchise modern-era record. The Senators finished the series strong and continue their offensive surge.

Game 2 — New Hampshire Fisher Cats — Blue Jays affiliate (September 10) — Senators 8-0

Harrisburg continued their offensive dominance with an 8-0 shutout of New Hampshire, marking their 11th shutout of the season—the most in the Eastern League and second in Double-A overall. The Senators outscored the Fisher Cats 19-1 in the first two games of the series and out-hit them 28-9. Hartle led a strong pitching effort with five scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and two walks. The offense was fueled by homers from Fitz-Gerald and Pichardo, and key hits from Green and Brown. The team’s power now totals 145 home runs for the season, tying their second-highest mark in franchise history.

Game 3 — New Hampshire Fisher Cats — Blue Jays affiliate (September 11) — Senators 1-2

In a tense, scoreless game through nine innings, Harrisburg fell in dramatic fashion to New Hampshire 2-1 on Carter Cunningham’s two-run walk-off homer in the 10th. Tejeda delivered an excellent final start, throwing nine shutout innings, while Clemmey struck out eight over 4.2 scoreless frames to keep the game tied. The Senators managed only three hits through regulation but threatened in the 10th with runners on first and third before Green’s single broke the deadlock. However, Cunningham’s heroics in the bottom of the inning sealed the win for the Fisher Cats. The loss drops Harrisburg to 2-9 in extra-inning contests this season.

Game 4 — New Hampshire Fisher Cats — Blue Jays affiliate (September 12) — Senators 9-3

Harrisburg continued their offensive explosion with a 9-3 victory over New Hampshire, launching four home runs and pounding out 15 hits to dominate the series finale. Willits led the charge with a 4-for-6 performance, including a homer, double, three RBIs, and two stolen bases. Fitz-Gerald and Bazzell also homered, with Bazzell’s shot extending the lead to 9-2. Susana started strong before running into trouble in the fourth, but Young and the bullpen held the line to secure the win. The Senators have now hit 149 home runs this season, tying their second-highest total in franchise history.

Eli Willits, promoted to Double-A to end the year, has more promise that almost any prospect in baseball. The former first overall pick had to say this about his approach to hitting and competing at a high level.

"Just making sure that my mental points are right and my mechanics are right and then get when I get off the machine and arm it's just going to compete mode, and trying to compete to the best of my ability... every day I step in the box I'm trying to win every pitch and compete to the best of my ability."
