The Washington Nationals acquired two right-handed pitchers, Josh Randall and RJ Sales from the Detroit Tigers in exchange for right-handed pitcher Kyle Finnegan sources tell The Nats Report.

Randall, 22, Detroit, No.15 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, has a 3.92 ERA in 80 innings between Low-A Lakeland and High-A West Michigan. Detroit selected Randall in the third round of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of San Diego. The Nationals have not announced what level he will be sent to at the time of publication.

Sales, 22, has a 2.71 ERA across 66 1/3 innings with Low-A Lakeland this season. He was selected in the 10th round of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft by Detroit out of UNC Wilmington. The Nationals have not announced what level he will be sent to at the time of publication.

The Nationals have not announced any other corresponding roster moves as of publication.
