Right-hander Justin Verlander and the New York Mets are in agreement on a contract, sources familiar with the deal tell ESPN and Andy Martino of SNY. Former ball player Carlos Baerga reported last night that the Mets and Verlander had a two-year deal.
According to John Heyman, the deal with the Mets will be $86M over 2 years. Vesting option 3rd year.
