Report: Washington Nationals along with other teams interested in Pitcher Alex Colomé

Robert Murray of Fanside reports that the Washington Nationals are among other teams interested in right-hand reliever Pitcher Alex Colome.

Late this afternoon, According to MLB Insider Robert Murray, the Washington Nationals, Boston Red Sox, Minnesota Twins, and Houston Astros are pursuing right-hander Alex Colomé

Alex Colomé, 32, has spent the last two seasons with the Chicago White Sox, after a brief stint with the Seattle Mariners in 2018 and five and a half years with the Tampa Bay Rays.

Colome in the shortened 2020 season had a 0.81 ERA, 2.97 FIP, 4.26 xFIP, 86.4 percent strand rate, and 16 punchouts in 21 games.

During 2019, Alex Colomé posted a 2.80 ERA, 4.08 FIP, 4.61 xFIP, 55 punch outs, and 30 saves in 61 innings pitched. Colome has a win-loss record of 28-23 with a 2.95 ERA, posted a total of 385 strikeouts over 424 innings pitched in his eight-year career.
