(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Red Wings have announced their Opening Day roster for the 2026 season. Led by sixth‑year manager Matthew LeCroy, Rochester will open its campaign on the road against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (MIA) at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, March 27, at VyStar Ballpark in Jacksonville, Florida.
The Red Wings enter their 98th season in the International League with an experienced, battle‑tested roster. Sixteen players on the club bring previous Major League experience, highlighted by veteran catcher Riley Adams (263 MLB games), right‑handed pitcher Trevor Gott (255 MLB games), and infielder Zack Short (243 MLB games).
Rochester’s Opening Day roster is comprised of 16 pitchers and 12 position players, with just one player yet to appear at the Triple‑A level: left‑handed pitcher Erik Tolman.
The roster also features several high‑profile prospects. Washington Nationals No. 3 prospect (MLB.com) Harry Ford is set to join the Red Wings after being acquired from Seattle in December, alongside No. 6 prospect Luis Perales, who was added in a separate December trade with Boston. Former No. 2 overall pick Dylan Crews will also begin the season in Rochester after appearing in 85 games with the Nationals during the 2025 season.
Geographically, the roster includes 22 American players representing 14 states, as well as Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, along with six international players hailing from Venezuela (2), the Dominican Republic (2), and Cuba (1).
Eleven players are making their first appearance on a Triple‑A Opening Day roster, while 18 players have previously worn a Red Wings uniform. Four players return from last season’s Opening Day roster: 2025 team MVP Andrew Pinckney, starting pitcher Andrew Alvarez, outfielder Robert Hassell III, and infielder Trey Lipscomb.
