Nationals Send Seaver King to Triple-A
⚾ DUGOUT DISPATCH
The 23-year-old has been promoted to Triple-A. While he primarily plays shortstop, he has also played second base in Double-A. King has been assigned to the Rochester Redwings from the Harrisonburg Senators.
📊 THE BOX SCORE:
Throughout his minor league career, he posted a .267 batting average, but this season he took a step up, hitting .336 and posting a .427 OBP.
King was the tenth overall pick in 2024
King has gotten on base in all 35 games he has played this season.
🗣️ LOCKER ROOM LORE
King’s promotion to Triple-A is not surprising, considering his speed and plate skills that he's showcased in Double-A so far this year. He posted a .631 OPS across two levels and has drawn 22 walks in 35 game appearances, as well as stolen five bases in 2026. Prospects and coaches believe these will transfer well while playing for Rochester.
