We had a great discussion on X yesterday about the Washington Nationals starting rotation for 2024. It got me thinking, what does the 2024 Opening Day lineup look like for the Nationals?

It truly does depend on how aggressive the Nationals want to be with James Wood and Dylan Crews in regards to the prospect promotion incentive. It would make sense to let these two get a month to start the season in the majors, and if they struggle a lot to send them back down to retain that extra year of team control. With that in mind, the lineup would likely be:
SS CJ Abrams
RF Lane Thomas
Free Agent 1B (Rhys Hoskins, C.J. Cron, Brandon Belt, Ji Man Choi are my preferred guys)
