After scoring a season-high 16 runs on 17 hits in yesterday's win, the Fredericksburg Nationals will go for their second win of the week at home against the Fayetteville Woodpeckers. RHP Jose Atencio makes his first start of the season for the Fredericksburg Nationals.
Last time out. Yesterday, the Fredericksburg Nationals scored 11 runs in the first four innings and then exploded for five runs in the 7th to cruise to a 16-7 win on the first Education Day of the year.
The 16 runs and 17 hits are a new season-high in both categories and shortstop Phillip Glasser and Brenner Cox both had four hits, with Cox homering and finishing a double short of the cycle. Overall, the Fredericksburg Nationals hit six doubles in the game, and every player but one in the starting lineup had a base hit and an RBI.
