After winning nine of the last 12, the FredNats hit the road for a long two-week road trip through the southern coast of the Carolina League, stopping first in Charleston, South Carolina with the three-time defending Carolina League Champion RiverDogs, the Single-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.
The second week of the trip will take the FredNats up to Myrtle Beach to take on the Pelicans. Fredericksburg is currently in second place in the Carolina League North Division, just one game behind Carolina, and is nine games over .500.

The Fredericksburg Nationals have won their second straight series, winning four of the six games at home against Down East. They came from behind to win the first game on Tuesday in walk-off fashion, with Brandon Pimentel getting the big hit. After their loss Wednesday on Education Day, Fredericksburg ripped off three wins in a row on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday behind timely hitting and dominant pitching. On Sunday, they fell behind early and couldn’t get the big hit, losing 6-4 in the series finale to the Wood Ducks.

So far, the Fredericksburg Nationals bullpen in 2024 has been one of the best units across the Carolina League. In 134.1 IP so far for the Fredericksburg Nationals relievers, the unit has allowed 36 earned runs for a group ERA of 2.41.
