Game Story Line & Notes
Today, the Washington Nationals will aim to win the series against the Pittsburgh Pirates and conclude their first home series before hosting the Philadelphia Phillies for a weekend series, followed by a trip to the West Coast.
Forever Young. I want to be Forever Young. The Washington Nationals are calling up outfielder Jacob Young to replace Victor Robles, who exited last night’s game due to injury. Young, 24, posted a .252 batting average in 107 at-bats and stole 13 bases as a rookie last year when he was brought up to the Nationals. Young showcased a .304 batting average across 20 games and 46 at-bats during spring training. Additionally, he recorded five RBIs, 12 strikeouts, four stolen bases, a double, and 14 hits. It will be intriguing to observe his performance throughout the upcoming season.
