Rochester looks to guarantee at least a series split tonight, sending RHP Jackson Rutledge to the mound against RailRiders RHP Will Warren.

Game Story Line
Last night, the Rochester Red Wings snapped a two-game winning streak falling 4-1 to the Scranton/WB in 10 innings. Both teams remained scoreless through the first nine innings before the RailRiders scored four in the 10th to secure the win.
Rochester has only been shut out twice this season which would be the fewest in a single season for a Red Wings team since at least 1985, with the next-closest being four during the 1993 season.
Infielder Darren Baker went 0-for-4, with a walk, and is 0-for-last 10 at-bats since August 30th. Against the Rail Raiders this season, Baker has gone 2-for-13 with RBI, R, and BB. His last home run came against the Scranton/WB on August 2nd against RHP Randy Vásquez.
RHP Jackson Rutledge will be making his 10th start with Rochester since being called up from the Harrisburg Senators. Rutledge is 2-3 with an ERA of 4.93 with Rochester and has pitched 45.2 innings and gave up 44 hits, seven home runs and 25 earned runs. Rutledge has struck out 37 and walked 27 with Rochester. His 2023 season record is 8-4 with an ERA of 3.87 over 22 games both with the Harrisburg Senators and the Rochester Red Wings.
In his previous start against the Worcester Red Sox, Rutledge pitched five innings giving up five hits, and four earned runs. The right-hander struck out seven and walked four and got the loss.
RHP Will Warren will be making his third career start against Rochester, all of which happened this season. Warren’s ERA against Rochester is 2.270 with ten innings pitched, and giving up three runs on nine hits, striking out 12 and walking three.
In his previous start against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs the Rail Raider right-hander earned the win after allowing three earned runs on five hits through six innings and struck out seven. Warren is currently 6-4 with an ERA of 4.82.
