Last time out.
Last night, the Washington Nationals lost to the Dodgers 6-2. Getting the loss was LHP Patrick Corbin (0-3; 8.06 ERA), who went 6.1 innings, giving up five runs on nine hits, striking out five, walking four, and giving up one homerun. Corbin threw 96 pitches, 60 of them strikes, and faced 30 batters.
Jesse Winker hit his second home run of the season in the top of the third, scoring Jacob Young, who would score the only Nationals run last night. Winker’s home run went 429ft, had a launch angle of 29 degrees, and an exit velocity of 105.8 mph. The Nationals only got six hits all night and went 2-7 with runners in scoring position and leaving five baseruners.
One more Win. Nationals Manager Dave Martinez is one win away from 400. Martinez is the longest-tenured and winningest manager in Nationals history (2005-pres.). He passed Manny Acta, who managed 410 games from 2007–09, on May 6, 2021, at Atlanta. With a 2–1 win on June 4, 2021, at Philadelphia, he passed Davey Johnson (2011–13) for the most managerial wins in Nationals history (2005-pres.) with 225.
CJ for the Win.
