After completing a season-high eight-run comeback last night, the Fredericksburg Nationals have reduced their magic number to 6, and will look to get it down even more tonight against the Delmarva Shorebirds.

Fredericksburg VA - After completing a season-high eight-run comeback last night, the Fredericksburg Nationals have reduced their magic number to 6, and will look to get it down even more tonight against the Delmarva Shorebirds. The FredNats have beaten the Shorebirds 12 games in a row. RHP Bryan Caceres starts for Fredericksburg.

Heading into play today, the Fredericksburg Nationals are 5.5 games ahead of Carolina, 6.5 games ahead of Down East, and 9.0 games ahead of Salem in the Carolina League North Division. Fredericksburg is 35-20 in the 2nd half and the team’s magic number to clinch the second-half championship is six.

RHP Bryan Caceres looks to get back in the win column tonight against the Delmarva Shorebirds. Caceres has been a workhorse for the Fredericksburg Nationals this year, logging a team-high 106.1 IP, which is good for third in the Carolina League.

T.J. White earned Carolina League Player of the Week honors on Monday after going 11-for-15 (.733) with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs, 3 stolen bases, and recording an OPS of 2.055 last week against Down East. White is the third FredNat to win the award this season.
